Chiz Hau Chang is Deputy Director, Employee Wellbeing at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where he joined as the inaugural hire in January 2023 to establish and grow NTU’s employee wellbeing function. Since then, he has helped shape NTU’s organisational wellbeing strategy through an Inside-Out, Outside-In approach that develops the inner capacities of individuals and leaders while creating the conditions for people and communities to thrive. His team’s work has received national and international recognition, including awards from QS Reimagine Education, WorkWell Leaders, and the Singapore Employee Experience Awards. Prior to NTU, Chiz Hau served 20 years in the Republic of Singapore Navy, holding senior appointments in operational command, organisational development, and people strategy. Across both military and civilian sectors, he has dedicated his career to building cultures where people thrive and organisations perform at their best.
