Evanna Chuah

Director, Human Resources, Jewel Paymentech

Evanna Chuah was born and brought up in Ipoh. Not having been educated overseas or having a degree, she started her career from humble beginnings, and it was various work experiences in different MNCs that has made her who she is today.

Though she originally graduated with an advanced diploma in computer studies, she quickly realised that some parts of technology were not her cup of tea. Instead, she was driven by the opportunity to make an impact through the interactions she has with people, and her role in HR allows her to do that.

She is highly curious and observant, because she is deeply passionate about human behaviours and the drivers behind them. This innate obsession led her to explore the challenging world of start-ups, and the different people challenges and phases that start-ups face.
