Chief People Officer, AXA Affin General Insurance

Syukri Sudari is the Chief People Officer at AXA Affin General Insurance (“AAGI”) since 2006. He has more than 20 years of working experiences in human resources which covers a diversified industry including financial, telecommunications, aerospace, engineering and insurance sectors.

In 1996, Syukri graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Human Sciences in Political Science, which started his professional career as Management Trainee in the largest investment institution – Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). With the fundamental training that he received through the journey, he then pursued an MBA from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2000, which has led him towards becoming a successful HR leader today. Syukri is also the President of Association of Insurance Employer and accredited practitioner of Human Synergistics LSI/GSI.

He has served a number of companies in his career such as GITN (a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia), PJSI and PJBumi including an opportunity working in Africa.

As a firm believer of AAGI’s purpose of Empowering People to Live a Better Life, Syukri empowers his people to reach their potential including challenging the status quo and ultimately bringing the company to another level in relation to Human Resources practices, with constant aspiration to be the best in the industry.
