Diversity, Inclusion & Compliance – HR Specialist

Greenpeace East Asia

NC (She / They) is the Diversity & Inclusion and Compliance Specialist at Greenpeace East Asia, covering the areas of Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo and Taipei.  NC started her / their journey with Greenpeace at their East Asia offices by building D&I strategies from the ground up.  NC then joined Greenpeace’s international office to develop D&I projects on a global scale.  We believe that an equitable, diverse and inclusive Greenpeace is essential to delivering effective campaigns, sparking a billion acts of courage, and achieving our mission of creating a sustainable and peaceful planet.

NC was educated at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Biology furthered by a master’s in Gender Studies which became her / their entry point into social movement circles with a focus in gender and queer issues.  Her activism has spanned a decade with groups including Amnesty International LGBTI+ Group, Gay Games and Pink Dot.  Prior to her / their role at Greenpeace, NC has served local and international NGOs for refugees, workers’ rights, children and human rights.
