Sam is Head of Sustainability and ESG at Savills Asia Pacific. Previously, he worked in China from 1994 to 2017 where he advised on city economic development and real estate projects \u2013 many of these involving sustainable development \u2013 with number of them in Shanghai\u2019s Pudong New Area, covering office, retail, residential and industrial development, as well as healthcare, education, sports parks, sponge cities and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.<\/p>\n

Sam is a Chartered Surveyor and has a master’s degree in Corporate Environmental Governance from The University of Hong Kong and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese with Geography from The University of Leeds. He is also a former Chairman, British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai and former President, Shanghai Rugby Football Club.<\/p>\n
