Yi Zhang

Yi ZHANG is the HR Director, Hong Kong & Macau in RICHEMONT – the Swiss High Luxury Group. He leads 5 HR directors for all Regional functions & Maisons in the market including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Buccellati, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, A.Lange & Sohne, Montblanc, Chloé, Dunhill, TimeVallée, and WatchFinder.
Yi started his career as an HR intern and joined Schneider Electric as a TA specialist in 2004. He had a fast-track career after taking China industrial TA Manager, Business partner, and APAC industrial HR role then he was relocated from Shanghai to Global Hub in HK as Global HR Director – Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding. He also worked in Tory Burch as HR Director, Supply Chain Asia. He rejoined Schneider Electric as the HRVP – Global Supply Chain China (26 factories,8 DCs) and then the HRVP – Global Value Brands (6 Brands in 28 countries and regions) based in Shanghai. He was the CHRO for the biggest Chinese Lighting Company – Opple Lighting before joining RICHEMONT.
Yi has rich experience in driving HR transformation & change management for organizations. Recently he has piloted People Operation model in Richemont HKMO which is new to luxury industry, and he co-led with Headquarter on HR digitalization – piloted HR Chatbot for employee service, RPA for reporting efficiency & AI interview* for TA efficiency. He is a Schneider Electric & MINDGYM certified Coach on “Performance Coaching & Great Feedback”. He is often invited to be a guest speaker by well-known HR communities in China such as Enfovia, HREC, and HRoot. He was rewarded as China HR Top 100 by TOPHR, China excellent HR by ENFOVIA, and China Talent Developer by HREC between 2018-2020.
