Dato’ Vijay Kumar Subrayan is an accomplished human resources leader with over 30 years of experience in strategic HR leadership, industrial relations, organisational transformation, talent management, and manufacturing excellence across multinational environments. He currently serves as the Regional Senior HR Director at SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd, leading people strategies and workforce transformation initiatives across the region.

Widely respected for his strategic and impactful leadership style, Dato’ Vijay’s expertise includes strategic HR leadership, industrial and employee relations, leadership development, organisational culture and change management, workforce engagement and retention, and future-ready manufacturing workforce strategies.

Previously, he held senior HR leadership roles at leading multinational corporations, including Jabil Malaysia. In 2025, he was conferred a prestigious Pulau Pinang state honour and currently serves as a Panel Member of the Industrial Court, representing employers under Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resources.
