As Regional Vice President of Learning and Development, Asia Pacific, Clara Tang oversees the learning framework as well as the execution of learning and development programs for associates across the Asia Pacific region. She collaborates closely with people leaders to identify learning needs, deliver training programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of these learning initiatives.<\/p>\n

Clara brings an abundance of expertise and experience in learning and hospitality to her role at Hyatt, having been in the industry since 2006. She steadily progressed to managerial and directorship positions at Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel as well as Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Singapore. Following Marriott International\u2019s acquisition of Starwood in 2017, Clara assumed the position of Director of Learning and Development Operations for the region. In 2019, she joined WeWork in Singapore as the Director of Learning for Asia Pacific, later becoming Senior Director of Global Learning and Culture before joining Hyatt in September 2023.<\/p>\n

Clara graduated with a diploma in Tourism Management from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore and a bachelor\u2019s degree in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawai\u02bbi at M\u0101noa in Honolulu. She also attained a master\u2019s degree in Hospitality Management at Cornell University in New York and Singapore.<\/p>\n

Clara, originally from Singapore, developed a passion for the travel industry following internships at a variety of travel-related companies, including an airline. She found herself drawn to the hospitality sector and aims to foster an environment that empowers people to be their best. She resides in Singapore with her husband and three children.<\/p>\n
