Bessie heads up the group training & development function at Esquel Group, a global leading textile and apparel manufacturer with a vertically integrated supply chain.  She is responsible for driving people development initiatives and building up the global organizational leadership pipeline.  Bessie has 20 years’ experience, gained from leadership roles in the education sector and in the services and apparel industries.  She is currently the member of Manpower Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the member of The Conference Board’s Talent Management Center Advisory Board, the member of Industry Training Advisory Committee – Fashion of Qualifications Framework in Hong Kong, and the member of the Higher Education Advisory Committee of the Vocational Training Council.

Bessie graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She also holds a Master degree in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as well as a PhD degree in Economics and Finance from the City University of Hong Kong.
