Sarajit Poddar is the Global Head of People Analytics at Ericsson, one of the world’s leading information and communication technology companies. Based in Singapore, he plays a pivotal role in enabling business leaders to make key talent decisions through data-driven insights. As part of the global people analytics team, Sarajit works to shape Ericsson’s people analytics strategy and operating model and collaborates with product and engineering teams to develop global dashboards. His work is central to driving a culture of evidence-based decision-making, ensuring that talent strategies are aligned with the company’s business objectives across its global footprint.

With over 24 years in People function and 12 years of leadership experience in People Analytics and Workforce Planning, Sarajit has been instrumental in driving data-led talent strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency. His expertise spans enabling strategic workforce planning, optimising HR processes, and transforming complex data into actionable insights that influence critical organisational decisions. Prior to his current role, he led Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Data Science functions, ensuring a strong foundation for analytics-driven decision-making while fostering innovation in people analytics practices.

Before joining Ericsson, Sarajit worked as a management consultant with Deloitte and other leading firms, advising organisations across APAC on HR strategy and transformation. Over his long career, he has partnered with diverse industries to implement HR solutions that enhance business performance, blending his consulting acumen with a strong data science background. He holds an MBA from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, and brings a unique perspective on the intersection of data, people, and business outcomes, making him a sought-after thought leader in the evolving landscape of people analytics.
