Jayaram Philkana joined Syngenta in June 2022. He has been responsible for defining and implementing the people strategies for the Syngenta Group BU s in Asia Pacific region consisting of 12 countries from Korea to Pakistan including ASEAN, ANZ, Japan and India. Syngenta employs 10,000+ employees and generates USD 2.5 billion plus revenues in the APAC region. Currently, he is leading a significant business transformation programme with global remit and initial focus on Asia, Africa, Middle East and Russia.

He brings with him rich experience, including as a Global CHRO of listed companies in the pharmaceutical and agricultural technology sectors. He has also been a board member in a New York head quartered biotech as also a listed company in Jakarta. Jayaram has lived and worked out of India, Singapore, USA, Indonesia.

He is as passionate about supporting the growth and business transformation agendas of CEOs and C-suite leaders as ensuring alignment, engagement with employees at all levels to experience development and deliver business results.

Jayaram is an Indian national and a Singapore Permanent Resident. He graduated from the XLRI School of Business with a Post Graduate degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. He lives in Singapore with his wife and son who is doing his National Service in Singapore army. His daughter lives in Austin, TX with her family.
