Ethan built NTU’s wellbeing office from scratch in 2020. Today, it serves a diverse community of over 49,000 people. It ensures that their mental health and wellbeing needs are effectively met.
Ethan advocates an “all for health” community perspective and approach. He sees this as vital to uplifting organisational and societal wellbeing. Through this, Ethan empowers individuals to become wellbeing change-makers. They can make a difference for themselves and others around them. He believes this can positively and sustainably impact society. This approach also helps engender a lasting culture of care.
The University Wellbeing Office’s efforts and impact have received multiple awards. These include the QS Reimagine Education Award 2023, Gold Winner. This award recognised its work in Nurturing Wellbeing and Purpose. They also include the Employee Happiness Awards 2026, Gold Winner. This award was for Best Employee Wellness Initiative.
Ethan also volunteers actively in the community and social service sectors.
