Hans is the Head of Regional Rewards, Director COE – Asia Pacific at STMicroelectronics, and is based out of Singapore. His scope of responsibility spans across 13 countries and more than 19,000 employees, from R&D, to sales & marketing, to manufacturing. He is responsible for the design and delivery of effective and sustainable total rewards solutions for the Asia Pacific organisation.

Hans has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Finance, and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. He has more than 30 years of work experience in various disciplines including business, general management, and human resources management. He started as a trainer, progressed into HR consulting and eventually into regional compensation & benefits with multinational corporations. He has worked for prestigious firms such as Hay Group, Mercer HR Consulting, Jones Lang LaSalle, Johnson Controls, Huntsman and Bridgestone.

Hans has a wide breadth of experience in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, training, compensation & benefits, international assignment, job analysis & evaluation, competency assessment, performance management and HRIS. He has trained, presented to, and consulted thousands of executives and professionals across the Asia Pacific region, including many Fortune 500 companies. He is a thought-leader, change expert and sought-after speaker for professional events such as HR Summits, C&B Congresses and Benefits Forums. His speaking engagements spans across Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. His signature achievements include creating a global grading tool, developing regional compensation frameworks, piloting flexible benefits initiatives, leading incentive designs, and driving regional benefits review.
