Isaac Chin is an HR leader at Capella Hotel Group. His passion lies at the intersection of people, technology, and analytics. He describes this as his current ikigai.

He designs, develops, and deploys total rewards strategy, policies, and processes. This covers the group’s corporate workforce and luxury hospitality portfolio. The portfolio spans Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. His remit also includes broad-based compensation, executive compensation, HR technology, and analytics.

Over the last 14 years, Isaac has held Human Resources and Human Capital advisory roles. These roles were at Aon, Starwood, and Marriott. This work keeps him familiar with emerging remuneration, technology, and analytics trends. It also covers labour market pressures and organisational considerations affecting people and the business.

Isaac is an active member of the HIRG Forum. This is the Mercer-facilitated Asia Pacific Hotel Industry Remuneration Group Forum. He currently serves on its Steering Committee.

Isaac studied at Singapore Management University, with a BSocSc in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude. He also studied at the University of Pennsylvania.

When off the clock, he enjoys tennis and chauffeuring his wife and daughters.
