Efka graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in 2006 and began his career in the supply chain division of one of the biggest mining companies in Indonesia. In 2008, he took the opportunity to join the Human Resources division as an HR Analyst, fell in love with the HR role, and started his journey as an HR professional.

Having navigated many challenges in the HR field across different industries, Efka took on various roles and progressed in his HR career until 2021, when he was entrusted with the role of Human Capital Group Head at Petrolog Indah, where he serves to this day. Petrolog Indah is one of the biggest companies in heavy equipment and plant services in the East Kalimantan region. In his role, he oversees the overall HR function and has spearheaded various initiatives to improve HR performance.

Amid a limited budget, Efka has gradually minimised manual processes at Petrolog Indah by promoting standardised and automated MS Excel templates for all sites, while enforcing discipline in upholding those standards.
